Abstract

AIoT Technologies for Ageing Population: Elderly Monitoring and Dementia Anti-wandering

Artificial Intelligence of Things (AIoT), the integration of AI with Internet of Things (IoT), holds much promise in meeting the global challenges of ageing population.  Collaborating with various NGOs, government units and private sectors, I have been conducting research on  AIoT technologies and deploying them for elderly care.  In this talk, I will share my experience on two projects: designing a privacy-preserving camera for remote elderly monitoring, and promoting a caring community to efficiently search for missing people with dementia.
