Professor Pei-Lee Teh is the Head of Department of Management at the School of Business and Director of Gerontechnology Laboratory at Monash University Malaysia. Her research focuses on how technology impacts businesses, influences daily life and transforms society at large. She has secured large grants from the Prime Minister's Office’s Economic Planning Unit, Ministry of Higher Education, Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation and other institutions. In 2016, she founded Malaysia's first Gerontechnology Laboratory and has been instrumental in advancing research in this field. She also established the IEEE Technology and Engineering Management Society (TEMS) Malaysia Chapter in 2013 and organized IEEE Industrial Engineering and Engineering Management (IEEM) Conferences in 2014 and 2022. She currently serves on the International Advisory Committee for the Research Institute for Smart Ageing and holds editorial roles in journals. Her work continues to influence policy, business, and academic discourse on technology and aging globally.

Reimagining Life with Gerontechnology: Innovation, Practice and Progress
As global aging accelerates, gerontechnology stands at the forefront of addressing key challenges related to healthcare, mobility, social engagement, and independence for older adults. This talk shares how this interdisciplinary field integrates technological innovation with aging studies to enhance the quality of life for aging populations. The talk will highlight the advancements in gerontechnology, including smart devices, robotics, AI-driven healthcare solutions, and assistive technologies that enable older adults to maintain autonomy and well-being. Drawing from research, practical case studies, and the AGELESS project, this session will emphasize the importance of collaboration among academia, industry, and government in driving these initiatives. The talk will reflect on personal stories, expert interviews, and stakeholder perspectives to propose strategies for fostering inclusive and sustainable adoption of gerontechnology, addressing the evolving needs of aging societies.
