Professor Rick Kwan is the Associate Dean (Programmes) and Professor at the School of Nursing, Tung Wah College, as well as the Deputy Director of the Digital Mental Health Translational Research Centre. He also holds positions as a Visiting Professor at Zunyi Medical University in Guizhou and a Visiting Professor at Huizhou Health Science and Technology College. Professor Kwan's research primarily focuses on geriatric nursing, with a special interest in the application of e-health technologies to improve the health and wellness behaviours of elderly individuals with cognitive impairments. In the field of education, he specialises in the use of electronic technologies to enhance teaching efficiency, such as employing virtual reality for interprofessional education. Professor Kwan has a publication record, with over 85 papers published in peer-reviewed international research journals. He has led and participated in more than 40 research projects, securing over HKD 60 million in funding.
